“Life changing abundant love”
God’s love is ultimately the super power of this world. Think about it, every person born into this world is a sinner and sentence to death. But God demonstrated His LOVE toward us by sending Jesus to die. The finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection gave those who choose to believe, life. A life of redemption, forgiveness, freedom and eternal salvation. We are also told in the scriptures that love NEVER fails. If that is not a super power, nothing is!
Today’s scripture is familiar and it is awesome. It speaks for itself so I won’t be writing much. Please let this prayer of the Apostle Paul marinate deep within your heart. My friends, claim it for yourself and rejoice in its truth!
Ephesians 3:16-19
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
The prayers of a righteous man avails much. The Apostle Paul is praying for the believers living in Ephesus and all of us. Human nature has never changed and one of man’s problem is believing and trusting in God’s love toward them. This prayer does not address our love toward God, Paul prays that we will understand and experience how great God’s love is for us. How many times have you thought, I need to love God more, I need to work harder or be a better christian? It is not about us, it is about the love of God for us. His love will transform everything else in our lives.
God loves you and nothing you do will change that truth. But believing and walking in that truth will transform EVERYTHING you do! Today, be still and rest in God’s presence! Take time to experience the great love God has for you. We need to be intentional in doing this otherwise we have an enemy who attempts to make us doubt and hide ourselves from our Father’s love! As we experience God’s abundant love toward us we will then be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that can only come from God!
Humble yourself under God’s mighty power (LOVE) and at just the right moment He will lift you up!!
