“Chosen, Adopted and Set Free!”
Jesus is alive, just as He said. I love Easter and the celebration of our Lord’s resurrection. But to be honest the resurrection of Christ should not be a day on Sunday we set aside to celebrate. It should be a constant celebration and excitement in every life of a believer.
God Almighty has chosen, adopted and set you free. He has given His Spirit to you to live a life of power, abundance and victory TODAY! Of course, let’s celebrate the resurrection of Jesus today. But each and everyday I pray people will experience the resurrection of Jesus through us. Why? The three verses we read today is a very good reason!
Ephesians 1:5-7
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
My goodness what powerful and encouraging words. Please take a moment to read them again, take your time and let the Spirit of God speak to you.
You have been chosen, adopted and set free because God decided too. Yes, you read that statement correctly, the God of All creation, the GREAT I AM made a decision to choose you! You did not choose or love Him first, HE CHOSE YOU! God wanted you to be a part of His family. Why? It gave Him great pleasure!! That is SOOOO AMAZING!
But my friends there is more, so much more!! We are invited to join the angels and all of creation to praise God for His glorious grace poured out on us. Through God’s amazing grace and the blood and sacrifice of Jesus we now belong to Him. He purchased our freedom, paid the price, redeemed us from death, destruction and forgave our sins! Oh what a Father, what a Savior and what a friend!
I hope you will join me today at Antioch to worship and praise our Lord and Savior. In Jesus Christ you have been chosen, adopted and set free, today, tomorrow and FOREVER!!
