What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? Psalm 8:4
When was the last time you stopped and thought about this incredible truth in Psalm eight? Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth is mindful of you! Seriously, how amazing is this? I have read these words countless times but as I read them this morning I became overwhelmed with the majesty of His presence. God is so majestic, powerful, all-knowing yet He thinks upon you and me. He cares so deeply for each one of us that He sent His Son to die so that we could spend eternity with Him. He tells us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us. He commands us not to worry because He promises us to give us everything we need if we trust Him. I may not be saying anything that you don’t already know but I pray that this will be a reminder of His great love towards you.
We are quickly approaching Easter Sunday, my favorite day of the year. I pray that we will enter into this season with an attitude of thankfulness and praise. How will the people around us, who are struggling in this life, experience the hope of Jesus and the power of the cross. How will you be a testimony of His love, sacrifice and salvation? I ask that you will be intentional this year to take every opportunity to share His love with family, friends, co-workers and even strangers. As I read the headlines throughout the world it saddens me to see the hate and destruction going on. But I also see a time when people are searching for more, seeking for something better. Folks we have that something or should I say that someone. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Today is a good day to share His love with someone. Go, speak life, share Jesus!
UPDATE:
God is Good all the time, All the time God is Good! February has been an amazing month. If you have followed us on Facebook you might have seen many pictures of people following Jesus in Baptism. Through God’s love and grace we baptized 13 people this month. I say this to proclaim God’s goodness toward His people! I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of His kingdom’s work. Our youth group continues to grow in spirit and numbers. When I finally decided to follow God’s desire to begin a youth group here I did not imagine the blessings I would receive. So many of you know I love the youth and enjoy working with them. To see God working in so many of their lives is priceless! We have such a wonderful, talented and Godly group of young people. Antioch is truly blessed!
OPPORTUNITY:
Please let me begin by saying thank you to all of you who have supported the ministry here at Antioch. So many have partnered with us through prayer and financial support. You are a part of everything that happens here, may God richly bless you! Continue to pray for us like never before. As we grow things change and needs increase. I ask that you pray specifically for me so that I will faithfully lead Antioch with truth and grace, to make decisions that will glorify God and build His kingdom. We are also in need of additional financial support for Antioch. We would like to purchase some items for our youth.
