JANUARY NEWS

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:13-14

Once again, we lay yet another year to bed. Although 2014 has been an incredible year personally and for Antioch, we can not live in the past.  We simply give thanks for the good, bad and pray that through it all we grew in His truth and grace. Paul encourages us to press on, reaching and striving to finish the race, receiving the prize for which God, through Christ Jeus, is calling us. Our destination; Heaven, eternity with our Father! To be in His presence…no more pain, suffering or sin!  I look forward to that day but until that time comes I want to remain faithful here on earth. I want to serve my Father and His people. I want to hear well done my good and faithful servant. I pray that as we enter 2015 you desire the same for your life.

I believe the year 2015 will be a year of incredible transformation. God certainly loves each and every one of us just the way we are but He loves us to much to leave us there.  His desire is to see His children grow into the image of His Son Jesus. God’s desire is to transform our hearts and minds, to set us free!  In 2014 we learned the importance of abiding in Jesus Christ, surrendering everything to Him.  I have heard countless testimonies throughout this year of people abiding and bearing fruit, abundant fruit! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness towards all His promises. We will continue abiding in His presence bearing fruit for His glory.

This year my prayer for myself and all of you is that we will allow the Lord to strip off the unneeded baggage we carry around day to day. Those things good and bad that draw us away from His presence and power. Our 2015 theme is “Total Transformation” and the verse will come from the Book of Hebrews chapter 12:1-2 this year

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Again and Always, Tammy and I would like to thank all of you who generously gave throughout the year faithfully supporting the ministry. There is no way we could be here serving God and His people without your faithful, financial support.  We also want to thank everyone who participated in giving a special gift for Christmas.  What a wonderful surprise, we felt the love and support from all of you.  We cannot express the privilege it is to lead the people of Antioch.  The Lord has blessed us with so many wonderful people and we look forward to the years to come. Thank you and may God richly bless you all!!

Fasting

Total Transformation

That is our theme for this 21 day fast starting on January 11th. It is also our theme throughout 2015 here at Antioch.

What are you believing the Lord for in this new year? Fasting breaks the chains in our life and when the chains are broken, tranformation takes place in our hearts.

Join us in this corporate fast and let’s see lives being transformed. If you have never fasted before Scott will be offering a class on Sunday, January 4th at 5:00pm. It will be a teaching with a question and answers at the end.

Also, if you have never fasted before, please get the approval of a doctor if you have any medical conditions.

There are several types of fasts in the bible. Fasting is a Spiritual disclipline that God honors. Give God your firstfruits this year and see the hand of God move.

Let’s break the chains together this year at Antioch. If you are going to be apart of the fast, please let Scott know so he can pray for you.
