APRIL NEWS
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” John 11:25-26
What an incredible scene taking place as Jesus presents this question to Martha. Her brother Lazarus laid in a tomb dead for four days. Martha, Mary and many others are naturally mourning thier brother’s death. Jesus then comes strolling into town also a friend of Lazarus and the sisters. Martha hears that Jesus is in town and runs to Him. She begins to question His absence believing that if Jesus would have been their her brother would still be alive. Jesus answers Martha, “your brother will live again.” Martha’s response, “yes Lord, I know, he will rise with everyone on the last days.” In one sense Martha exhibited incredible faith and yet doubt troubled her. I believe like so many of us Martha wanted to believe but the fact was her brother laid dead in a tomb.
Sometime later the scene changes. It is now Jesus being lead away, betrayed by His own follower. Sentenced to death, execution on a cross. The worse of kind of execution only to be used against the vilest of criminals. The disciples, followers of Christ scattered as it was predicted. They wanted to believe they wanted to trust Him… but look, look at the evidence. He is beaten, hanging on a cross, blood pouring from His body. No man can endure such punishment. Suddenly the words are proclaimed from the Man Himself “It is Finished!” His head falls and He dies. Everything they thought would happen was crushed at that very moment, our King is dead. Oh how they wanted to trust in the words of thier teacher but doubt flooded thier minds.
Three days past and everything changes, the sorrow turns into dancing, the mourning is replaced with rejoicing. The Lord has risen, He is ALIVE! Everything He said would happen has taken place. He has brought new life, hope and salvation. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this? You see, anyone of our names can be added to this question. Jesus died so that we can live, live a full, abundant life! Not only in eternity but right now here on earth.
How will you respond to the greatest invitation of all times. Will you chose to believe in the midst of trials and tribulations? Will you trust the King of Kings with your life. Not only for eternal life but for your life today. Regardless of the circumstance you find yourself in today our God is bigger, He is able to see you through. You may not understand what you are going through and you may wanted God to respond differently than He has but.. Don’t give up hope, He has a plan and it is perfect. He loves you and will always provide the very best according to His goodness and lovingkindness. Trust Him, lean into His love for you! He will see you through!
HE IS ALIVE!! He is the Resurrection and the Life! Embrace His grace and love this Easter season! Trust in the Risen Lord!

Some of you have asked, but my information has not changed or you have my information from last year. Also, the cards are hard to read, so basically that is why we are asking for your information. ANTIOCH APRIL HAPPENINGS
Easter Service: April 5th at 10:30am. Set your clocks ahead one hour the night before for daylight savings.
Wednesday Night Bible Study: Cancelled for April 1st and 8th for Easter celebrations. We will resume on April 15th at 6:30.
Potluck bible study: Cancelled for this month. We will resume next month on May 13th.

Youth group: Every Monday evening at 6:00pm. We meet at the church, Jacarandas 52. For ages 13 and up.
Women’s Potluck brunch: April 18th at 11:00am. Brandy Weekley will be hosting this month. Please RSVP to her if you plan to go. Please bring a dish to share with the Ladies.
Prayer Walk: April 16th at 5:00pm. We will meet at the Jardin. Come join us as we pray for our city.
Men’s breakfast: Every Friday morning 9:00am at Café Monet — Zacateros 83.
