“Unfailing love produces complete forgiveness”

In a few weeks we will celebrate Good Friday and Easter. It is a time we set aside to give thanks to our God for all He has done. It is my favorite time of the year. The sacrifice and finished work of Jesus transformed my life and I am forever grateful.

Jesus went to the cross, gave His life to demonstrate God’s unfailing and perfect love for everyone. Through the death and resurrection of Christ we are offered complete forgiveness. God did the work, we simply need to believe in His finished work.

Yesterday we read from the words of Isaiah and we were given an invitation to come to God. There was an urgency in the scriptures not to wait but come before it is too late. Later, Jesus spoke similar words to all. We live in a time of grace but at some point the time of grace will expire and the time will turn to judgment. Don’t wait my friends, be sure that when the trumpet sounds you will be with Jesus!

Psalm 103:11-12

For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. 12 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

STOP!! Don’t read any further until you take five minutes and read in its entirety Psalm 103. Over and over you will see the love, power and forgiveness of our Great God!

Today’s verse confirms God’s unfailing love towards those who fear Him. Yes, God loves everyone and He proved it by sending Jesus to die for the world. But there will be a day for those who do not believe to be separated from God and His love for all of eternity. We also see that in God’s unfailing love He has forgiven those who believe in Christ. The sin of believers has been removed as far as the east is from the west. Seriously read that again!

Paul tells us in the Book of Romans, we have been set free from the power of sin and death. Jesus Christ paid our debt, our penalty with His life. Jesus died so that all those who believe can live forever! God’s unfailing love produced complete forgiveness.

My Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me with a perfect, unfailing and eternal love. You called me to Yourself and forgave me of all my sin. You set me free to live a life of abundance and satisfaction in You. I am blessed beyond anything I could hope or imagine, Thank You! I ask You in the Name of Jesus, draw every person reading today’s devotion to Yourself. May they grow in their knowledge of Your perfect and unfailing love towards them. In Christ Name AMEN!!
