“Abundant Life”
Welcome my friends to March 2026. This month we will be looking at the abundant life we have received in Christ Jesus. I am looking forward to read, write, study and meditate on the scriptures that confirm this wonderful truth.
As most of you know, I am eager to get to heaven and see Jesus face to face. I can’t even imagine how glorious that day will be. But until I enter into heaven I want to live my life in the abundance of Christ here and now. I hope and pray you have the same desire!
John 10:9-10
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Before Jesus called me to Himself I was obsessed with making money. The truth is, I was really good at making it. Unfortunately I was really good at spending too. In the eyes of the world I would have been considered successful. People would see me as someone living an abundant life. The moment Jesus saved me my life drastically changed. My desires and direction completely shifted from myself to my Lord. One thing that immediately happened, I fell in love with the Word of God. Today’s verse is one I read and memorize early in my Christian life.
The moment Jesus called me to Himself I knew He was the Way, the Truth and the Life. There were no other ways to heaven but through Him. He was the only One willing to die for me! But when I read verse 10 I learned two very important truths. I have an enemy and he hates me! The second truth transformed my life, Jesus didn’t only come to save me. He is giving me an abundant, rich and satisfying life. Honestly up until I read this wonderful truth I always thought God was oppressive and someone who wanted to take all the fun out of life. On the contrary, I have never been so satisfied until I began walking with Jesus.
